What would you do if you lost your job?

I came across this site Lemonade the Movie, which inspires people who has lost their jobs to look as their unemployment as an opportunity. Lemonade is an inspirational film about 16 advertising professionals who lost their jobs and found their calling, encouraging people to listen to that little voice inside their head that asks, “What if?” Here’s the movie trailer.
“Keep Moving Forward”
The story goes… The company is going through restructuring and after much consideration, we’ve decided to have a centralised marketing team based out of the US. Hence, the only marketing person for Asia Pacific was made redundant. *Poof* I became unemployed. Coming across the Lemonade Movie actually reminded me of why “The Avid Marketer” was started. What did I do when I lost my job? My personal branding project.
With the name “The Avid Marketer”, I created a little logo for myself and build this website as a start. What is my personal brand about? My personal brand is composed of my public actions and output in the following three main areas:
- What I’m about
- My expertise
- My style
In time to come, I hope to be able to grow my personal brand and maybe get some freelance projects. I am the Avid Marketer. I value creativity and innovation. What is your personal brand? What do you want to be known for? That’s really all a personal brand has to be about.
